Rocky Road Peep Brownies

Please note: There were Peeps harmed in the making of this recipe.

But it's okay. They understood it was for the greater, sugary good of my blog readers. These brownies are as beautiful as they are delicious. I start with my favorite ultimate fudgy brownies and add in salty peanuts. After they are baked, I sprinkle chopped Peeps on the top and place under the broiler for a minute or two. They get all melty and form an irresistibly colorful spring treat.

The question of the day...how the heck do you cut them? I found it best to stick them in the freezer for about 20 minutes then cut. However, I like them best right when they come out of the oven and they are all warm, gooey and messy!
